How to: Customize your Salesforce App Branding

Step 1: Check your Salesforce edition

Before you start with the domain change, make sure that you have the required editions so that you will be able to change the domain.

My Domain needs to be enabled before you start the Salesforce Branding. This means that you need to have a subdomain activated for your Salesforce org. Therefore, we suggest that you read this article How to: My Domain set up in Salesforce before you start with the Salesforce Branding.

Consideration Tips

In conclusion, it’s highly advisable to consider the following tips when customizing the branding of the Salesforce App:

  • Be sure to compress your logo image before you upload it to your app.
  • Verify that your logo appears correctly on all devices.
  • Salesforce supports .png, .gif and .jpg formats but it is recommended that you always upload a .png version because it provides the best results.
  • UI elements that cannot be customized:
    • Salesforce app icon that appears on the mobile device’s home screen.
    • The initial loading screen when launching Salesforce for iOS.
  • Mobile users must close the app and then login again to see the custom branding changes.
  • When a user switches between two orgs that have custom branding loading pages, they see the loading page for the previous org until the branding for the new org is available.

Long time supporter, and thought I’d drop a comment.

Your wordpress site is very sleek – hope you don’t mind
me asking what theme you’re using? (and don’t mind if I steal it?
    :P)

I just launched my site –also built in wordpress like yours– but the theme slows (!) the
    site down quite a bit.

In case you have a minute, you can find it by searching for “royal cbd” on Google (would
appreciate any feedback) – it’s still in the works.

Keep up the good work– and hope you all take care of yourself during the coronavirus scare!

I do not know if it’s just me or if perhaps everyone else experiencing
issues with your blog. It appears as though some of
the text on your posts are running off the screen. Can someone else please provide feedback and let me know if this is happening to them too?
This may be a problem with my internet browser because I’ve had this happen previously.
    Thanks

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. It’s possible that the issue you are experiencing with the text running off the screen could be related to your internet browser. I would recommend trying to access the blog on a different browser or clearing your cache and cookies to see if that helps resolve the issue. Additionally, if other readers are experiencing the same issue, please do let me know so that I can investigate and make the necessary changes to improve the user experience. Thank you again for your feedback, it’s much appreciated.
